The sun is a major culprit in skin aging and damage, and sun exposure also contributes to the risk of skin cancer. That’s why if you want beautiful skin, you must protect it with a sunblock! During the day, be sure to use the SPF face moisturizer you picked out for your basic skin care regimen.

Since clouds do pass ultra violet rays, make sure to use sun protection even on cloudy days. Many people get the most UV damage during cloudy summer days because they are no aware of the harm the sun can do through the clouds.

If you go to the beach or otherwise find yourself in a sunny environment for prolonged periods of time, use sunscreen on all exposed parts of your body.

Keep in mind that using sunblock does not mean you can stay out in the sun with no limit. The length of time you can safely spend in the sun depends on your skin’s natural ability to protect itself, and your sun block’s SPF factor. Tests have shown that using an SPF 15 sunblock will let you stay out in the sun 15 times longer without burning than you could without it.If you plan on staying in the sun for more than an hour, I recommend you use an SPF 30 or above sunblock.

Remember that you may need to periodically reapply your sunblock to keep up the protection. Refer to your sunblock’s instructions to learn more about the level of protection you can expect and how often you should reapply.

I can’t emphasize enough how important sun protection is… so just do it!

Here are some excellent SPF 30 + sunblocks I recommend that are good for all skin types and that you can use on your face and body. They will not only protect you against sun damage, but also moisturize and help fight other aging factors:
